DOG ON IT! TRAINING ASSISTANT PROGRAM
Becoming a Volunteer Training Assistant is an amazing, beautiful journey into the world of training working dogs. It enables you to help others in need while working with amazing dog friends.
The Training Assitant Program has various levels to which you can aspire. You can just learn the basics and help with the beginning stages of a dog's training. You can decide to do foster training and care at another level or you can aspire to more advanced levels of our training program. Each level is a wonderful journey and will help you develop your own personal skills as well as learning about dogs, communicating with them and to most effectively help them in their training journey to become a fully capeable and certified assistance dog.
As a DOG ON IT! Training Assistant, you my be paried with a Recipient/dog team, an individual dog, or will foster the basic shaping of the dog in your own home. Whatever the task you choose, the volunteer postion of a DOG ON IT! Training Assistant is quite rewarding on many levels.
There is a cost associated with becoming a volunteer Training Assistant, as you will be gaining very valuable knowledge and expertise. Delinda VanneBrightyn, our Master Trainer, will be helping you develop your skills every step of the way.
